DIY Summer Pedi

For stunning tootsies this summer — and all year round, for that matter — follow this simple but nourishing feet-and-nails routine:

1. SOFTEN UP AND BUFF

Start by soaking feet in a salt bath to soften skin. With a new pumice stone (or one that is less than a month old to help avoid bacteria buildup), use gentle circular motions to buff away dry skin and transform calluses, usually found on heels and soles, into soft spots.

2. MASSAGE AND SCRUB

Your feet will need some TLC. Choose a foot scrub that contains both exfoliating and hydrating ingredients. Massage the scrub into your feet, focusing on those especially rough areas, and leave it on for five minutes. If time permits, soak hand towels in warm or hot water, and wrap them around your feet for a truly spa-like experience. Rinse off with warm water to reveal soft, touchable tootsies.

3. MOISTURIZE

Immediately after your bath, shower or scrub, slather your feet with a hydrating lotion, taking care to massage it into your heels and soles. Olay Ultra Moisture Lotion is a non-greasy formula (so you won’t slip and slide in your shoes afterward) that protects skin by locking in moisture for 24 hours. For an added moisture boost, apply it before you go to bed every night, sleep with socks on and wake up to smoother soles.
